The Palgrave Estate Residential Community (PERC) Policy Review looked at current policies that guide land use and development in this area.
Results
The major outcome of the review was revised policies for the Official Plan. An amendment to the Official Plan is expected in the future.
The amendment includes revisions to Section 7.1 of the Official Plan. These revisions will update the development pattern, servicing, environmental and other policies. The key policy changes are to:
- Clarify policies for servicing to align with regional requirements
- Introduce policies to guide cluster residential development in this community
- Clarify the policies of consent, minimum distance separation and other policies to reflect the planning intent of the community
- Simplify the application process, submission requirements and introduce changes to clarify the development application process
